The Agricultural Census 2023 (AC2023) is the seventh agricultural census conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (Badan Pusat Statistik or BPS) every ten years since 1963. The implementation of AC2023 is mandated by Law Number 16 of 1997 on Statistics and follows several recommendations from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), which established "The World Programme for the Census of Agriculture (WCA) Covering the Period 2016–2025." The AC2023 is carried out in phases, with a complete enumeration of agricultural activities taking place from June 1 to July 31, 2023, followed by detailed data collection through the Agricultural Economic Survey and the Agricultural Production and Environmental Survey in 2024.This booklet, presenting the results of the complete enumeration of the Agricultural Census 2023 - Phase I, reflects the comprehensive assessment of agricultural activities conducted from June 1 to July 31, 2023. The booklet is designed to provide a detailed overview of the condition of Indonesia's agricultural sector in 2023 by subsector, along with some strategic information in the agricultural sector.
